I still have A LOT of room for improvement! And seeing as how your healthy depends largely, like 80% or more, on your diet as oppose to your workout regime... I have room for even more improvement! So, I am deciding today to:
-plan my meals out more (which can be confused as time consuming but I'll get to that)
-make healthy fun meals
-portion things out ahead of time so I actually have more freedom
-stick to a whole 30-day system followed by a 9-day cleanse
-plan all the way down to my snacks for each day a week in advance
-and increase my workouts from two classes a week to four classes a week and gym time! AMBITIOUS!
And if you are thinking that you would like to incorporate some of these goals into your life but think it is too time consuming to plan a week in advance and such, let me just ask you this, it's a Wednesday morning, you're heading out the door and you don't have breakfast lunch or dinner planned yet? You have 2 mins to think of what to eat for breakfast before you go out the door or before you get behind schedule and aren't going to have enough time to eat before you have to go! Ok, what did you choose? Was it healthy? Did it give your brain and your body the nutrients you needed to start your day right? Maybe? Ok, now it's lunchtime and you are at work, or school, or maybe even at home, you don't have any leftovers and now you either have to make something or go out to eat. What did you choose? Did you make something if you were at home? How long did it take you to decide what to make? How long did it take you to make it? Or did you not even have the option to make something because you were away from home? Where did you go out to eat? Or did you skip lunch because you can't afford to go out to eat again? Ok, now it is dinner. Are you going to make something from scratch, or from a box, or a can? Does it have enough veggies? Or enough proteins? How long does it take you to decide what to make? How long does it take you looking for all the ingredients? What do you do when you are missing some ingredients?! Start the deciding process over?
HOLY MOLY! Stresses me out! It is more time consuming when you don't plan out your week and prepare in advance. Promise!
So, where to start? I want to share some blogs and wonderful websites that I have found that I am going to start using now too! And I also recommend listening to these two girls talk about recipes, grocery shopping, tips in the kitchen, and healthy habits.
